This park is very friendly,great place to relax and get to know new people!!! Owners are the best anywhere! Come see for yourself and you will be glad you did!! Lots of fun for all ages.
We stayed at Riverbend RV Park for one month and enjoyed our time there. Very clean and quiet. The park itself is bordered by the San Marcos River which is nice to walk down and splash around in. The pool is immaculate as are the sites. Everyone working there is genuinely nice and happy. They even go around and poison the ant beds, which is a bonus. The town itself is tiny, but has so much charm and is surrounded by other small, medium and large towns to visit and do the tourist thing. The only down-side...and it has nothing to do with the park...on the north side of town there is an eggy-smell...its apparently the smell of the oil fields. While it is not prevalent at the park, once in a while if the wind shifts, you may smell it a teeny bit...but it certainly did not ruin my day. I would definitely go back should I find myself in the area!
Wish we could've stayed forever. Management is very* friendly. There's a nice swimming pool, a pond, laundry room, kitchen with wifi, clean showers, and swings in the trees. The San Marcos river borders the park and you can swim in it. The park is very safe with a coded gate and cameras. There's a large open area for kids to play in. The horses are fun to watch in the fields. The regulars gather for game nights and crafting events in the commune. Office has a shop with spare rv parts, bait, water, etc. We have never felt so welcomed or so at home at any other park. We travel for work and had to leave, however reluctantly. Will move back in a heartbeat.
River Bend RV park was great! We were coming in late and they gave us an easy-in spot which we are grateful as we had a big rig and appreciated the service. Utilities electric and water were good and had no problems at all! We were just passing through and it was great for that. Looks like they are some really great sites by the San Marcos River. This place seems to be a hidden gem. Only negative was a low hanging tree in the outer circle and we hope no damage to roof from that.
This camp ground is great. It has river access, great amenities, and the staff is truly amazing. Sherri and her husband, the owners, are truly angels and have been so helpful for anything we need. We've been here almost a year now and have no problems. I highly recommend this RV park and campground.
